How long do I live?

Silent and lonely is the evening
Waves of thoughts come crashing

I shall leave this place to my grave
World moves on and how long will you grieve?

Faces that fade away into oblivion
Memories buried, never to be liven

Paths that i treaded, now worn and beaten
Still being walked upon though i am forgotten

This brief interlude with the material world
What significance for me did it hold?

To live on after life's final take,
What possession I wonder should I stake...

Searching for my Inspiration...

Life's Journey

Dear Sophie,
This is more of a passage rather than a poem. But I have effectively said what is in my mind.

I am propelled forward, my destiny pulling me towards it...
Hard and tough was the path I travelled - filled with hurdles...
Friendship, Love, Pain and Hatred - I got a taste of everything...
Searching for the Eternal Bliss, I followed the path laid by my fate...
Power, Prosperity and People came to me, but Happiness was a rare guest...
Ultimately, lying in the pitch blackness, buried deep in my silent grave,
I discovered the single place I hadn't searched - WITHIN ME...

Dear Sophie,
I once read in my uncle's blog a two-line rhyme with the most romantic first line, but the least romantic second line. I was really amused reading it that I too wanted to try writing something like that. So here goes......

Oh Dear...
You've no idea what Life is without you...
Coz, this is the Golden age of my Life... :D

Days are not the same with you gone...
They are very much better now... :P

Everyday I remember your bed coffee...
And feel happy that my coffee is far better... :D

Your words are constantly ringing in my ears...
And my eardrums are about to tear... :P

Your image is burnt in my eyes...
And I think my eyesight is failing...:D

Are you the Lovely Lass

Dear Sophie,
My verses usually center on the single theme - Love. So I thought I'd write something different for once. And I came up with this. Hope you like it :)

Radiant like the face of a happy bride...

Who might your groom be.
The migrating birds or the wispy clouds...

But suddenly....
Cloudy is your countenance,
Like the eyes of a melancholy maiden...

What pain hath fallen on you,
To cry like a distressed damsel...

Your tears lighting up people's eyes,
And refreshing the Mother Earth ...

Dear Sophie,
I write this for a friend of mine who made me realise that I was loved by all. I want to thank her and tell that she is an important part of my life. Thank you my dear for being with me...
